Competition Lawyer

Oversight & Delivery. 

·       To advise and support operational staff in the management of contractual relations with our distributors in Italy, Spain and Portugal for the entire portfolio of products distributed by the Schneider Electric group in Italy and Spain both in traditional distribution and for e-commerce.

·       Legal advice to functional and operational departments in the group's various areas of intervention (competition law, monitoring and integration of regulatory and legislative developments, etc.)

·       Negotiate Distribution contracts and deals on behalf of the company.

·       Participate in the training activities provided by the Legal

·       Organisation of distribution networks.

·       Operate as a valued & integral member of the GLD and as a key business partner to provide high quality legal services and strategic legal support and advice.

Collaboration.

·       Provide reasonable assistance to other members of the Regions as requested by the Legal Management.

·       Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

  • Understand the essence of markets and competition and to help business to solve competition problems.

·       Involved in the management of pre-litigation situations and ensure the management of disputes and litigation.

·       Monitor and improve contract compliance with established procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Italy/ Spain having a Master of Law degree or higher.
  • Eight (8) or more years’ relevant post qualification experience, in the commercial  and distribution law acquired in international  companies or law firms, preferably in the industrial sector and more particularly in distribution law, e-commerce and international contract law.
  • Very good knowledge of European competition law.
  • Native in Spanish/ Italian and Fluent in English and Italian or Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of how an in-house legal department operates & a passion for understanding Schneider Electric's businesses & facilitating business results.
  • Must have the ability to identify & analyse critical business issues &apply legal expertise to deliver solutions and mitigations, helping in finding acceptable trade-offs and reaching win-win scenarios.
  • Must be confident with interpersonal skills, commercially minded, able to work effectively in teams,able to manage negotiations, performing under pressure.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly, communicate effectively,manage conflict & solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Digital skills
  • Experience working with international and multidisciplinary teams.
