As Transport Manager, you will structurally improve the transportation network within a global SC hub environment. You will collaborate with planning, customer service, finance, DCs, factories, and the control tower to deliver cost-efficient, high-performing transport solutions. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage carrier performance, and drive on-time delivery and service excellence. This role offers impact through optimization, escalation management, and strategic planning for capacity and resilience in a fast-paced, international setting.

Responsabilidades

Collaborate across functions to structurally improve the transportation network and co-create value with planning, customer service, finance, DCs, factories, control tower, and forwarders.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and savings projects to optimize cost, service, and carrier performance.
Enforce standards, monitor variances to targets, and discuss corrective actions with carriers; escalate when needed.
Oversee Transportation service performance by tracking KPIs (OTP, OTD) and drive actions to ensure best-in-class service.
Manage Control Tower performance and implement corrective actions to maintain expected service levels.
Manage Carrier performance via regular KPI reviews and corrective actions.
Lead transportation cost optimization with internal stakeholders and control tower; implement structural improvements.
Analyze root causes of emergencies/deviations and implement action plans to minimize recurrence.
Approve extra costs above thresholds and minimize escalation; serve as first escalation after Control Tower.
Ensure visibility on critical shipments, maximize on-time delivery, and provide proactive communication.
Forecast transportation needs for upcoming months for capacity planning with carriers.

Requisitos principales

7+ years of operational experience in transportation and/or freight forwarding
B.Sc. in Logistics/Supply Chain (master preferred)
Control Tower and TMS experience is a plus
Strong analytical and fact-based problem-solving skills
Proficient in office tools; basic digital literacy; knowledge of AI technologies is a plus
Result-oriented, autonomous with prioritization skills
Deep knowledge of supply chain/logistics/transportation processes and best practices
Team player with this ability to work in a complex matrix organization
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
Excellent communication skills; proactive and hands-on attitude
