In this leadership role, you will build and steer development and operations teams for the European Sovereign Cloud, delivering high-availability AWS services to EU customers. You will partner with global AWS teams to influence service and technology evolution and to launch ESC by 2025. You’ll drive automation, reliability, and efficiency across systems and software, balancing on-call duties with strategic coaching. This position offers the chance to shape secure, scalable cloud operations at scale within a pioneering, customer-focused culture. You will lead with ownership, guiding cross-functional teams toward a dependable and innovative cloud experience for EU clients.

Responsabilidades

Lead team roadmaps and automation goals to deliver scalable, reliable services
Provide regular strategic guidance and foster cross-team collaboration
Analyze performance and identify improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
Strengthen inter-department relationships to streamline processes
Build coaching and mentoring programs to develop skilled teams
Review key metrics to align team efforts with business objectives
Identify successes and improvement areas to prepare for launch challenges
Occasionally own on-call escalation and incident response

Requisitos principales

EU national and residence in the EU
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
Software development or systems experience with hands-on design and high-scale hiring across multidisciplinary teams
Systems engineering experience (virtualization, hardware, OS tuning) and experience building scalable infrastructure or distributed systems
Knowledge of SDLC practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations
