In this role you shape the strategic agenda for Umicore’s Automotive Catalyst unit, aligning with the Corporate Development Team and Group leadership. You steer the strategy roadmap, guide M&A and transformation initiatives, and ensure cross‑functional alignment across the group. You’ll partner with management and external advisors to drive sustainable growth and competitive positioning in a fast‑evolving clean mobility space. This is an opportunity to influence the company’s direction and impact emissions reduction at scale.

Responsabilidades

Lead forward‑looking strategic reflections in the clean mobility sector
Sponsor and drive strategic projects at BG/BU level with measurable impact
Provide group‑wide strategic advisory services on business strategy, M&A, and project management
Lead cross‑functional/transversal initiatives to improve collaboration and alignment
Participate in Catalysis BG leadership discussions and decision making
Develop BU strategies to enable sustainable growth and competitive positioning
Manage ad‑hoc strategic assignments with high‑quality analysis and recommendations
Foster stakeholder management across internal and external partners for alignment and execution

Requisitos principales

10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in industrials, advanced materials or specialty chemicals; automotive exposure is a plus
5+ years in management or strategy consulting with proven project leadership
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
Strong strategic insight and analytical ability; able to manage and lead complex projects and teams
Solid project management skills with influence across stakeholders
Hands‑on experience in operational excellence, due diligence (buy/sell‑side), and strategy implementation
Experience in multi‑cultural environments
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build high‑performing, diverse teams and adapt communication to different audiences in ambiguity
Integrity, authenticity, and consistent behavior
