In this role you will lead the testing strategy and validation for ADI’s AI and robotics stack, ensuring robust, safe autonomous behavior across perception, SLAM/VIO, and manipulation. You’ll build end-to-end test frameworks, datasets, and automated pipelines that bridge simulation, real hardware, and policy-driven systems. You’ll collaborate across AI, SLAM, motion planning, and hardware teams to enable dependable autonomy in diverse real-world environments. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position at the edge of embodied AI.

Responsabilidades

Design and implement end-to-end test frameworks for AI perception, SLAM/VIO, mapping, sensor fusion, and robotic manipulation policies
Architect scalable validation pipelines integrating simulation, dataset replay, model-in-the-loop, policy-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop evaluation
Develop automated methods to test robot arm behaviors (grasping, placement, pick-and-place, collision avoidance, trajectory consistency, policy robustness)
Define metrics for localization, loop closure stability, multi-sensor fusion reliability, and manipulation success/safety margins
Build and curate perception/manipulation datasets (sensor-rich sequences, dynamic interactions, RGB-D, force/torque, tactile, motion traces)
Create automated CI/CD test suites to detect regression in AI models and classical algorithms
Collaborate with AI, SLAM, manipulation, motion planning, embedded, and hardware teams to ensure testability by design across the autonomy stack
Advance test methodologies (simulation-to-real validation, domain randomisation, perturbation testing, robustness evaluation)
Stay current with robotics simulation, embodied AI testing, safety validation, and benchmarking practices

Requisitos principales

8+ years in robotics perception, manipulation, computer vision, AI model development, or system validation
3+ years building test or validation frameworks
M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Expertise in testing/validating AI-based perception models and evaluating robotic policies
Validation experience for SLAM, VIO, motion planning, or robotic arm control
Experience handling sensor data, time-series, and physical system dynamics
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with C++ for integration
Experience with simulators and digital twins for mobile and fixed-arm robots (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Mujoco, PyBullet, Unreal Engine)
Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2, robot kinematics libraries, and control/trajectory execution frameworks
Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, containerisation (Docker), and automated regression pipelines
