In this role, you will lead the Data Engineering Team to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines that support reporting and data science. You will ensure adherence to standards, promote reusable data solutions, and foster close collaboration with data modelers. You will guide transformation workflows using dbt and optimize Databricks resources for performance and cost-efficiency. You will work across business units to shape trusted data models that enable analytics and AI initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role at a science-driven company focused on scalable, high-quality data solutions.
Responsabilidades
- Lead and mentor the data engineering team, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal best practices
- Oversee scalable, reliable data pipelines for business reporting
- Foster collaboration with data modelers to deploy modeled tables and integrate modeling and engineering efforts
- Promote reusable, modular code and data solutions to boost productivity and maintainability
- Ensure proficiency in dbt for transformation workflows
- Guide optimization of Databricks compute for performance and cost-efficiency
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to maintain quality
Requisitos principales
- Proven experience leading data engineering teams in an enterprise environment
- Strong expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines with modern tools and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with dbt and Databricks, including performance tuning and cost optimization
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and collaboration with data modelers
- Excellent coding practices focused on reusability, scalability, and maintainability
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
