In this role you will design, develop and test real-time embedded software for building-block hardware that powers advanced logistics systems. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to translate customer needs into robust, scalable solutions and to support early pilots and integration efforts. You’ll contribute to hardware-software co-design, ensure quality and safety, and help drive product maturity for worldwide clients. This position offers hands-on engineering impact within a collaborative, growth-focused technology environment.

Responsabilidades

Translate concepts into viable design options considering functionality, feasibility, quality, manufacturability, cost and timelines
Maintain VI Equipment Product lines documentation and provide accurate work planning and risk communication
Finalize designs and deliverables aligned with processes to enable smooth handover to stakeholders
Coordinate technical details with VI Supply Chain and lead design improvements for existing equipment
Support start-ups and other departments while upholding safety and quality standards
Engage with customers and suppliers to reach optimal solutions
Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities/project sites (up to 25%)
Assist in integration with engineering teams to build scalable, flexible products for logistics systems

Requisitos principales

7+ years of experience in material handling or related industry
Experience with embedded software design in C/C++ and RTOS (and optional Industrial PC with C#/C++)
ARM Cortex M4 architecture experience
Knowledge of embedded controllers and industrial networks (PROFINET, CIP Ethernet/IP, ASi-bus)
Experience with field buses, I/O, sensors and actuators (e.g., BLDC motors)
Direct experience with PLC/Embedded controlled systems including safety designs and industrial networking (preferred)
Strong problem-solving, documentation and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel up to 25% and work across teams
