As Director of Software Engineering, you lead software initiatives across embedded and cross-site teams to deliver products on schedule and to spec. You shape development processes, mentor engineers, and partner with program management to manage milestones and risks. You will drive architecture that is maintainable and scalable, while fostering a high-performance, globally distributed team. This role offers impact in advancing RF, mixed-signal SoC software for cutting-edge communication infrastructure.

Responsabilidades
- Direct software development projects through technical leads
- Oversee product lifecycle from concept to obsolescence
- Collaborate with international software teams to optimize cross-site efforts
- Coordinate with Program Management on milestones, risk, and resources
- Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Develop and improve software development processes for quality gains
- Hire, train, and conduct performance appraisals
- Mentor and groom team members to enhance skills and accountability
- Keep the team aligned with company direction and roadmap
- Facilitate clear communication across engineering teams and with product stakeholders
- Ensure architecture and implementation are maintainable and extensible
- Adhere to appropriate development and corporate methods and procedures
Requisitos principales
- Embedded software/firmware development experience in wireless/wire-line products
- Full product lifecycle experience across multiple products
- Hands-on proficiency in C/C++/C#, assembly; strong CPU architecture knowledge
- Experience with Linux and Windows OS; ability to write efficient code
- Strong oral and written communication; ability to present clearly
- Experience working with multicultural teams
- BS in Electrical Engineering with ~15 years of experience (or MS ~12 years, PhD ~10 years)
- Experience in software/firmware development across OS/RTOS to applications
