In this role you will contribute to a rapidly evolving mobile platform for J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, delivering high-quality Android features in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll own work from estimation to release, troubleshoot defects, and help maintain a robust mobile product that powers client investment experiences. You will participate in code reviews, testing, and bi-weekly releases, while continuously learning and sharing knowledge. Responsabilidades

Collaborate with Product to understand user needs and deliver features for the native Android app following an Agile SDLC
Own tasks from estimation through release and post-production support
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve prioritized defects
Write tests for delivered code and adhere to best practices for quality
Own or assist with bi-weekly releases and related processes
Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and continuous learning
Engage in knowledge sharing and skill-share sessions across iOS and broader Engineering
Propose, contribute to, or collaborate on technical initiatives to improve the codebase and toolset
Focus on solving core problems rather than symptoms

Requisitos principales

English working proficiency
Commercial experience in native Android development using Android Studio
Proficient in Kotlin and Java
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of SOLID principles
Experience writing unit tests (JUnit, Kotest or modern framework)
Experience with multi-module code using CLEAN architecture
Experience with MVVM/MVP patterns and related architectures
DI with Dagger or similar
Mobile design best practices (UI, multi-threading, async operations)
Knowledge of core Android libraries/frameworks (Compose, Coroutines, Flows, RxJava, Retrofit, Security)
Experience with Play Store deployment
Experience with automated CI/CD (Bitrise/Jenkins) though not required
Experience with monitoring/alerting for production apps
REST API understanding and API collaboration
Git flow and good communication within delivery teams
Curiosity about new approaches; proactive in sharing ideas
