In this role you will underwrite Construction risks for a portfolio in Madrid, handling new and renewal business with brokers and clients. You contribute to profitable growth aligned with the Business Plan and nurture high-quality relationships across internal teams and external partners. You will review submissions, assess risk, and advise on risk management to ensure client satisfaction. You will help uphold AXA XL’s market-leading brand while supporting cross-sell opportunities and financial planning.

Responsabilidades
- Review submissions (policy wording, inspection and financial reports) to determine risk level
- Calculate risk premiums considering sector risk costs
- Own underwriting results for the Construction book and contribute to strategy and planning
- Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management needs
- Engage brokers to generate new business, support cross-selling, and maintain account retention
- Maintain awareness of claims and monitor financial exposure within approved limits
- Support business planning and forecasting; monitor premium income
- Uphold and enhance AXA XL’s brand in the market
Requisitos principales
- Engineering Degree with underwriting and portfolio monitoring experience
- Strong understanding of Spanish market dynamics
- Knowledge of underwriting processes and procedures
- Proven ability to engage with brokers and grow client relationships
- Negotiation skills and ability to adapt to client needs
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making
- Willingness to work in a fast-changing environment and propose creative ideas
- Fluent in Spanish and English
