As Senior Reliability, Scalability & Performance Architect you will define and govern the Non-Functional Requirements for Swiss Re's Life & Health digital ecosystem. You will work with solution architects, engineering leads, and DevOps to translate standards into measurable attributes like performance, resilience, observability, and security. You will lead framework and library upgrades, security remediations, and platform migrations to keep systems modern and compliant. You will provide technical leadership, promote NFR-driven design, and continuously evaluate new technologies in SRE, observability, and cloud-native engineering. Responsabilidades

Define and maintain the product-wide NFR framework with principles, metrics, and design patterns
Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and engineering leads to capture and implement NFRs across the SDLC
Conduct architecture and performance reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and resilience
Develop reference architectures, reusable blueprints, and NFR patterns for consistency
Partner with security, infrastructure, and SRE teams to align architecture with policies and best practices
Champion integrating automated performance, resilience, and security testing into CI/CD pipelines
Lead lifecycle management of frameworks and libraries (upgrades, migrations, deprecations) including Java/Spring ecosystem
Coordinate security patching and remediation for CVEs in frameworks and dependencies
Collaborate with platform teams to ensure compatibility with Azure, containerization, and DevOps toolchains
Support technology evaluations and architecture decisions to optimize performance, cost, and operations
Provide technical leadership and mentoring on NFR and architecture best practices
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies related to SRE, observability, and cloud-native engineering

Requisitos principales

12+ years in enterprise software engineering (Java/J2EE)
5+ years in architecture or technical leadership
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices
Proven experience with Azure Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation
Proficiency with observability and performance tooling (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
Experience managing framework and library upgrades and security remediation
Working knowledge of authentication/authorization (Okta, Azure AD, OAuth2/OpenID Connect)
Strong understanding of DevSecOps and secure SDLC principles
Familiarity with architecture modelling tools (Enterprise Architect or Visio)
