In this role, you drive a complex migration of a legacy HLASM-based mainframe platform to a cloud-based Java ecosystem for a major US bank. You will partner with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure alignment and deliver high-quality migration solutions. You’ll optimize AI-assisted code translation pipelines, manage stateful, multi-step workflows, and build microservices to orchestrate the migration. Your work enables scalable, semantically accurate modernization using retrieval-augmented techniques. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity at scale, shaping a critical modernization program.

Responsabilidades

Migrate legacy mainframe code (HLASM) to cloud-based Java environment; troubleshoot and debug translation pipelines
Collaborate with development and client teams to align with project goals and deliverables
Maintain and optimize RAG applications supporting migration; tune LLM prompts for pattern recognition
Build and maintain FastAPI-based microservices to orchestrate migration workflows
Implement RAG systems using LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex for contextual code understanding
Design stateful migration workflows with LangGraph/LangChain/LlamaIndex for multi-step transformations
Manage checkpoints and conditional routing in long-running migrations
Develop knowledge bases and hybrid search for code pattern matching; create custom retrievers for language-specific contexts
Create agents for code analysis and tools for mainframe-specific transformations
Oversee performance tuning and debugging to preserve semantic integrity of translations
Engage in front-end or dashboard aspects as needed for progress monitoring (nice to have)
