In this role you will drive the migration of a legacy HLASM-based client platform to a cloud-based Java environment for a major US bank. You lead GenAI-powered code translation, optimize RAG pipelines, and build orchestrated, stateful migration workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable APIs and microservices, shaping a complex, multi-step modernization project. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at the intersection of AI, cloud, and core banking systems.
Responsabilidades
- Migrate and translate legacy code paths using GenAI-powered pipelines
- Develop and maintain FastAPI microservices to orchestrate migration workflows
- Tune RAG systems and prompts for context-aware code understanding
- Design stateful, multi-step migration workflows with checkpointing and conditional routing
- Build agents and tools for mainframe-specific transformations and code analysis
- Implement semantic search and knowledge bases for pattern matching and retrieval
- Manage integrations with LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex for contextual understanding
- Collaborate with client and development teams to align with project goals
Requisitos principales
- 5+ years of Python development
- Strong FastAPI experience for REST APIs and WebSockets
- Async programming expertise
- Pydantic data validation
- Experience with vector embeddings and embedding models
- Vector database and semantic search
- Graph database for code dependency mapping
- Building agents and multi-step code migration chains
- Orchestrating stateful migration workflows with checkpoints
- Hybrid search and custom retrievers for language contexts
- Knowledge of LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex
