Senior Indirect Tax Manager at Preply, a fast-growing global education platform, advising on indirect tax across multiple markets. You will shape the tax framework from scratch, liaise with external advisers, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure global tax compliance. This role combines strategic tax design with hands-on execution to support scaling in dozens of markets. You’ll influence product features, fintech tax processes, and compliance programs, enabling sustainable growth.

Responsabilidades

Provide indirect tax advice to the tax team and stakeholders
Coordinate external advisers to secure high-quality guidance
Collaborate with Operations, Supply, Product, Payment, Finance and others to ensure global tax compliance
Drive fintech products that enable tax compliance for users
Identify improvement opportunities and design scalable solutions for tax issues
Conduct tax research (CJEU, country-specific indirect tax laws) to enhance products and reduce risk
Oversee global indirect tax compliance and filings
Mentor and develop a Tax Accountant handling day-to-day compliance
Assist with indirect tax audits and liaise with tax authorities

Requisitos principales

8+ years in a sophisticated international indirect tax environment
In-depth knowledge of indirect taxes
Proactive and solution-oriented with ability to work independently
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Automation mindset and comfort with leveraging technology to improve tax processes
Experience with Fintech/Product teams on tax-related products is advantageous
Experience in e-commerce and online marketplaces is advantageous
In-house experience is an advantage
Able to work from London or Barcelona
