In this role you will shape autonomous systems by developing and deploying real-time robot policies and planning. You’ll contribute to a cross-disciplinary Edge AI group delivering robust AI-based behaviors at the edge. Expect hands-on work that blends research with production-grade engineering, enabling responsive robotic applications. You join a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on advancing edge sensing, learning, and decision-making.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and integrate task policies using hierarchical planning, reinforcement learning, or hybrid methods
  • Design and implement short and long-horizon planning systems for real-world robotic applications
  • Prototype and deploy scalable policy architectures with low latency and edge compute constraints
  • Contribute to evolution of the Edge AI stack by linking planning with low-level controls and semantic reasoning
  • Work with real-world and simulated sensor data to test and refine models; contribute to datasets and benchmarking tools
  • Participate in project planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions; own technical areas and deliver high-quality implementations
  • Stay current with AI robotics trends and integrate relevant advancements into workflows

Requisitos principales

  • 5+ years of experience in AI, robotics, or computer vision
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MS or Ph.D. preferred
  • Knowledgeable in robot locomotion, kinematics, and dynamics
  • Proficient in Python, with experience using ROS, PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience with real-world sensor data and simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, OpenAI Gym, Unreal)
  • Experience with DevOps/MLOps tools: Docker, CI/CD, Git
  • Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
  • Bonus: ROS2, industrial robotics, open-source contributions
