In Rover's Data Engineering role, you will lead cross-team data projects to ensure reliable, scalable pipelines and help modernize our Data Platform. You will design and deploy DBT models and ETL workflows, and mentor engineers to grow technical skills. You’ll build self-service tools for engineers, data scientists, and analysts to accelerate insights, while aligning data architecture with business needs. This is a hybrid Barcelona opportunity with meaningful, data-driven impact on the company mission.

Responsabilidades
- Lead cross-team data projects to ensure pipelines are reliable, efficient, and testable
- Communicate across team boundaries to establish overarching data architecture and guide teams
- Deliver transformed, tested, documented, and code-reviewed DBT models and ETL pipelines
- Mentor fellow engineers to develop technical skills
- Build self-service tools enabling engineers, data scientists, and analysts to get key insights
- Identify inefficiencies in the Data Platform to inform roadmap
Requisitos principales
- 6+ years of data engineering, software engineering, data science, or related experience
- Expertise in Python and SQL
- Experience designing and deploying highly performant data pipelines with monitoring and logging
- Proven track record of data governance, data modeling, automated testing, and monitoring
- Experience mentoring teammates and sharing knowledge
- Expertise with Python, DBT, Dagster, Redshift, Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform
