As a Senior Backend Engineer in our platform engineering team, you will own the design, development, and support of scalable backend services and microservices. You will lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust platform solutions. You’ll optimize databases, drive live production reliability, and implement DevOps practices to streamline deployment and incident response. This role offers impact through shaping high-availability systems in an iGaming context and partnering with stakeholders across product and operations. Responsabilidades

Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices
Own end-to-end lifecycle of platform projects from analysis to deployment and support
Optimize databases, write complex queries, and ensure scalability and performance
Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing
Deploy and manage containerized services using orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
Monitor and support live production environments for high availability
Lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and promote best practices
Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to deliver robust solutions
Participate in stakeholder meetings and align technical work with business needs
Handle production incidents following incident management processes to ensure rapid resolution

Requisitos principales

5–8 years of backend engineering experience in complex, high-availability systems
Advanced proficiency in backend languages and frameworks
Strong expertise in database design, optimization, and complex queries
Proven experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK, Prometheus)
Ability to independently support and troubleshoot live production environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
Knowledge of the iGaming industry and incident management processes is a strong advantage
