As Product Development Lead you will shape and execute the end-to-end product development strategy for footwear and accessories, coordinating with Design, Merchandising and Production to realize the brand’s creative vision. You will manage a small team, optimize processes, and ensure quality, feasibility, and timely delivery from prototype to GTM samples. The role emphasizes sustainability, supplier collaboration, and data-driven improvements to product innovation. You will work from Barcelona, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.

Responsabilidades
- Lead end-to-end product development from prototype to final production, ensuring quality, feasibility, and timelines
- Validate new materials and processes for durability and long-term quality
- Collaborate with designers to optimize materials, finishes, and production techniques
- Manage relationships with factories, suppliers, and material vendors
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive sustainability and efficiency improvements
- Oversee GTM calendar in sync with Merchandising milestones
- Maintain product data across PLM, ERP, and POS systems and serve as cross-functional information hub
- Lead and upskill a small product development team; drive strategy aligned with margins and collection vision
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings with Design, Merchandising & Production to resolve bottlenecks
- Establish KPIs (time-to-market, quality, returns, margins) and report to senior leadership
- Continuously implement process improvements for efficiency, quality, and sustainability
Requisitos principales
- 7+ years in footwear product development
- Experience in footwear; leather goods a plus
- Solid knowledge of materials, fit, comfort engineering and feasibility in footwear
- Understanding of material sourcing and production processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and PLM/ERP systems
- Solution-oriented, fast-paced with tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Willingness to be based in Barcelona and travel ~20%
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Strong communication and negotiation across internal and external partners
- Strategic yet hands-on execution capability
