As Principal DevOps Engineer, you will lead the DevOps function and shape the enterprise-scale software landscape. You will align engineering and operations to deliver scalable, reliable software while advancing DevSecOps practices. You’ll influence cross-functional teams, evangelize best-practices, and drive continuous improvement of CI/CD and production operations. This role connects engineering with Roche’s patient-first mission, enabling faster, safer delivery of healthcare solutions. Responsabilidades
- Software Development: write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software for production use
- Process & Operations: design and optimize CI pipeline integration and deliver high-quality software
- Leadership: foster a culture of technical excellence and supportive collaboration
- Evangelism: promote healthy DevSecOps practices within Roche Engineering Community
Requisitos principales
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud (AWS preferred) in software industry
- Scripting experience (shell, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience leading DevOps teams and building CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in DevSecOps including CI/CD, internal tooling, and production operations
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Hands-on automation (Chef or Ansible)
- Experience deploying/managing large-scale distributed Unix environments
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos) and monitoring/logging in production
- On-call rotation experience; familiarity with NOC and SRE is a plus
- Unix system administration, networking basics (DNS, routing)
