In this role, you lead high-fidelity robotics simulations and validation workflows for fixed-arm robots and humanoids, bridging simulation and real-world performance. You will design custom sensor models and synthetic data pipelines, working across hardware, AI, and simulation teams. Your work advances physics-informed ML and mechanical simulations to improve reliability at the edge. This position offers impact on real-time robotic perception and control in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on measurable real-world outcomes.

Responsabilidades

  • Design and implement custom sensor models (ToF, RGB-D, LiDAR, IMUs) in simulation platforms (NVIDIA Isaac Sim, USD integration)
  • Apply FEA-based mechanical modeling using tools like Ansys, Comsol, or Abaqus
  • Lead sim-to-real alignment efforts via domain randomization, noise modelling, and physics constraints
  • Develop simulation-driven workflows for synthetic data generation for perception, control, and physics-informed ML
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate simulation outputs into model training pipelines
  • Oversee field validation and on-site testing to ensure fidelity and real-world alignment
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of advanced simulation and validation techniques
  • Stay current with robotics simulation advancements and sensor technologies

Requisitos principales

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • 7+ years in robotics simulation, sensor modelling, or mechanical validation
  • Deep expertise with Isaac Sim, Gazebo, and sensor modelling
  • Strong Python, C++, and software development practices
  • Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (Ansys, Comsol, Abaqus)
  • Proficiency with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and scientific computing libraries
  • Proven track record integrating simulation with real robotic systems
  • Experience with synthetic data generation and validation against physical benchmarks
  • Solid understanding of sim-to-real challenges and mitigation strategies
