In this senior role, you lead the technology strategy for software-defined automation in the electric grid, driving breakthrough innovations and industry collaboration. You shape roadmaps, spearhead new technology introduction, and oversee mission-driven teams delivering customer-focused digital transformation of substations and grid networks. You work with customers, R&D, and partners to accelerate the energy transition and position the company as a leader in grid modernization.

Responsabilidades

Define and execute an innovation strategy aligned with grid modernization and electrification trends
Identify emerging technologies and assess their impact on utility and industrial operations; contribute to technology roadmaps
Drive New Technology Introduction initiatives to differentiate software-defined automation solutions
Lead cross-functional, mission-based teams delivering innovative digital transformation of substations and grid networks
Lead customer proof-of-concept projects from conception to deployment
Coordinate with R&D, product management, and commercial teams to explore innovation collaborations with customers
Build and maintain strategic relationships with utility customers, research institutions, and technology partners
Represent the company at industry conferences, standards committees, and technical forums
Collaborate with utilities on future grid architecture and operational requirements
Build and lead a high-performing innovation team; foster creativity, experimentation, and rapid prototyping
Mentor technical staff and guide professional development

Requisitos principales

Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Minimum of 12 years experience in power systems, grid automation, or related technology sectors
Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles managing innovation or R&D organizations

Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences Ability to manage customer relationships and collaborative development projects Strong project management and leadership of multi-disciplinary initiatives Software-defined systems, virtualization, and cloud computing architectures AI/ML applications in industrial automation and grid operations Knowledge of grid communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, GOOSE) and cybersecurity
