As Lead Mechanical Development Engineer, you drive the design and delivery of robust, customer-driven mechanical solutions for logistics automation. You will lead R&D efforts, govern cross-functional project teams, and ensure compliant, high-quality design decisions. Your work accelerates the development of standardized delivery systems while enabling tailored customer solutions. This role offers influence across global projects and the chance to shape advanced mechanical engineering practices.

Responsabilidades

Lead the development of parametric 3D CAD structures for standardized delivery and customer-specific solutions
Translate customer requirements into functional and technical specs
Drive R&D and engineering tasks, guiding project teams through design phases
Oversee drawings, BOMs, and technical calculations to support robust design decisions
Apply technical acumen to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Lead troubleshooting for field mechanical systems and provide expert support
Manage multiple concurrent projects with prioritization and timely delivery
Facilitate design reviews and mentor junior engineers to ensure quality
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and technicians across units
Ensure documentation and data management per standard procedures
Prepare and present high-level technical reports and recommendations
Contribute to development of technical manuals and operational documentation
Provide expert technical support across teams and ensure project completion within budget and schedule
Occasional travel up to 10%

Requisitos principales

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
15+ years of relevant mechanical design and development experience
Proven leadership in mechanical design with a track record of innovation and delivery
Experience with overhead conveying systems (strong plus)
Proficient in FMEA, FEA, CE compliance, and machinery development standards
Advanced user of CAD design tools
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or SAFe)
Fluent in English and Spanish
