As Java Lead Engineer in the Customer eXperience vertical, you will guide a cross-functional team to simplify travel changes and cancellations for customers. You’ll shape the technical strategy for the Payments domain, own high-performance delivery, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, AI-embracing environment. This role combines hands-on coding with strategic leadership to drive customer value at scale. You will work in Barcelona on a hybrid model, collaborating across product, architecture, and data science to deliver meaningful impact.

Responsabilidades

Lead a high-performing cross‑functional agile team (7–10 engineers) into delivery with a strong emphasis on quality and velocity
Define and evolve the technical strategy for the Payments domain and module-level evolution, ensuring optimal performance
Translate functional specs into robust design and actionable tasks to deliver customer value quickly
Promote technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Data Science, and Business to align on strategy and delivery
Participate in talent acquisition, onboarding, and mentoring to grow the team's capabilities
Manage team performance, goals, and workload prioritization, balancing capacity and delivery window
Foster identity, engagement, and belonging within the team with support from an agile coach
Provide mentorship and career development for team members
Engage in hands-on development when needed to solve complex problems
Support a hybrid, outcome-focused work culture and effective cross-domain collaboration
