As a Java Software Engineer on the Prime team in Barcelona, you will help scale a world-leading travel subscription program to delight millions of customers. You’ll build distributed, scalable microservices and contribute to payments, fraud, and financial systems using a modern Java stack. You will work in an agile, cross-functional environment and mentor peers while upholding high-quality, testable code. Responsabilidades

Build and deploy distributed microservices with a focus on quality, clean code, SOLID principles, and TDD
Promote microservice architecture, clean code, SOLID, and TDD within the team
Collaborate across cross-functional teams (engineers, product managers, architects, UX designers) in an agile Kanban setup
Design and develop systems for finance, payments, or fraud domains and share solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences
Participate in product definition, ideation, and team ceremonies to deliver business value continuously
Mentor junior colleagues and act as a best-practices referral within the team
Work with a tech stack including Java 8/11, Maven, Docker/Kubernetes, GCP, Datadog, Kibana, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, Oracle, Sonarqube

Requisitos principales

Strong understanding of software engineering concepts (OOP, functional programming, concurrency, data structures, APIs)
Experience with the full software development lifecycle including production deployment and testing (unit/integration)
Proficiency in design patterns, data-driven design, and software architecture
Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested code and to analyze and propose practical solutions
Experience working in an Agile environment (Kanban) and thriving in cross-functional teams
Strong English skills for a multicultural environment
Knowledge or interest in AI tools and their integration into development workflows (preferred)
