As System Technician on IBM i (AS/400), you will own the operation and optimization of IBM i environments in a stable, enterprise setting. You will work with infrastructure teams to implement upgrades, patches and DR solutions, and you will translate stakeholder needs into concrete actions. You’ll balance independence with collaboration in a cross-functional IT context, driving reliability and performance. This role supports Swedbank’s mission to deliver secure, efficient services to customers and colleagues.

Responsabilidades

  • Operate and monitor IBM i (AS/400) environments
  • Install, upgrade, and patch IBM i OS
  • Manage LPARs, Power Systems, and VIOS
  • Back up and restore (BRMS) and disaster recovery solutions
  • Performance optimization and capacity planning
  • Security administration (users, permissions, auditing, compliance)
  • Manage journaling and high availability solutions
  • Incident, problem, and change management according to ITIL
  • Documentation and technical guidance within the IBM i platform

Requisitos principales

  • Experience as a system technician on IBM i (AS/400)
  • Ability to work independently and with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of BRMS backup/restore and DR solutions
  • Familiarity with LPARs, Power Systems, VIOS
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
  • Strong documentation and technical guidance skills
  • Structured and detail-oriented
  • Communicative and pedagogical in business dialogue
