In this Global Head role, you will own and scale Santander's Structured Trade Finance across markets, leading product development, origination, risk governance, and execution. You will shape strategy, build a high-performing global team, and align with Coverage, Product, Risk, and Operations to drive sustainable growth. You’ll engage senior stakeholders and advocate for innovative, compliant structures in long-term financing and commodity-related solutions. This is an impactful leadership position at a cross-border, risk-aware bank that prizes transformation and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

Define and own the global strategy for Structured Trade Finance across markets
Build and lead a high-performing, accountable team
Lead origination strategy and pipeline development with Coverage, Sector teams, and local product units
Design and enhance product frameworks, risk parameters, models, and documentation standards
Present performance, strategy updates, and key transactions to Executive Committees and senior leadership

Requisitos principales

Extensive experience (10+ years) in Structured Trade Finance, Structured Finance, Commodity Finance, or related long-term financing structures backed by a track record from investment banking
Education in Economics, Law, Finance, Engineering, or related fields
English language proficiency (Spanish or third language preferred)
Solid background in long-term financing structures, ideally Project Finance or similar
Advanced cash flow modelling, financial analysis, and credit assessment of complex borrower/supply-chain structures
Strong understanding of commodity markets, supply-chain dynamics, and collateral risk management
Proven ability to negotiate complex legal documents (security packages, intercreditor arrangements, etc.)
Experience with IFRS and US GAAP accounting for structured trade transactions
Experience leading multi-disciplinary deal teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
Significant cross-border and multi-jurisdictional risk exposure
