In this role you drive EHS leadership at the Ermua site, aligning local actions with corporate safety and environmental goals. You will manage EHS targets, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance while building a strong safety culture across the site. You’ll monitor metrics, report performance, and engage cross-functional teams to close gaps and implement programs. This is a hands-on role shaping world-class EHS practices at a manufacturing site and coordinating with authorities and crisis response teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage site EHS targets and objectives in alignment with corporate initiatives
  • Facilitate risk assessments to identify hazards and set site objectives
  • Select leading and lagging indicators to measure EHS performance
  • Develop site goals and activity-based targets for leadership and supervisors
  • Engage EHS element champions and foster ownership of EHS programs
  • Promote a zero-incident EHS culture and lead engagement through teams and committees
  • Coordinate annual regulatory compliance evaluations across country, state, and local levels
  • Pursue third-party recognition of the site’s EHS program
  • Utilize EHS data systems (e.g., AEGIS) to track injuries, environmental metrics, and action items
  • Ensure training matrices cover defined training and completion tracking
  • Collaborate with facilities to maintain key EHS controls and timely corrective actions
  • Monitor WWTP performance and drive wastewater process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requisitos principales

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety program management in an industrial setting
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Ergonomics
  • Fluent English with clear written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of environmental management and wastewater requirements for IPPC companies
  • Ability to manage interfaces with authorities and handle regulatory findings
  • Strong team-building and organizational skills
  • Experience with company-wide EHS data reporting systems
  • Ability to lead and support cross-functional EHS teams
  • Experience in crisis response and EHS incident investigation
  • Demonstrated managerial courage and stakeholder management
