In this role you will design and commission protection IEDs for complex international projects, aligning client needs with protection plans and system interfaces. You will work within cross-functional teams to implement LV/MV protection, CST/communication files, and ATS logic, contributing to project success and system reliability. The position supports Schneider Electric’s energy automation mission across Europe and beyond, with substantial travel and a focus on delivering robust, standards-based solutions. This opportunity offers hands-on technical leadership, exposure to advanced protection portfolios, and international project experience.

Responsabilidades

Define optimal SE IED type to meet client protection needs
Implement LV/MV protection settings
Participate in protection relays testing (factory/site)
Develop complex IED logic to satisfy client requirements
Implement CID files for IED communication with SCADA systems
Define IP/Ethernet networks between devices
Develop and commission Automatic Transfer Logic (ATS)
Participate in tendering to estimate man-hours
Site commissioning for ED SWGR and EMCS interfacing
Collaborate with project team, PM, design leaders, and electrical/digital leads to ensure correct IED implementations

Requisitos principales

University degree in Electrical engineering (Bachelor minimum, preferably Master)
English fluent (B2)
French an advantage; Spanish/German a plus
Min 5 years in Electrical Distribution, Energy automation, commissioning
Experience with communication protocols and CID generation for SCADA compatibility
Experience with signal/loop testing with EMCS and switchgear
Willingness to travel up to 60% within EU
EU passport holder advantageous
Driving License B
Ability to make decisions in complex conditions and potentially work abroad for 6–12 months

IEC/IEEE standards knowledge applicable to ED Protection system operation and latest ranges (Micom, Sepam, Easergy, Vamp)IED configuration tools (Micom S1, SFT2841, Vampset)Advanced communication protocols (IEC61850, Modbus, OPC, Profibus, DNP3, IEC103)Goose signals understanding CID file development and EF/SCADA interfacing
