In this role you will support underwriters and clients by delivering expert risk engineering for construction projects. You will work across lines of business to implement a multi-line risk approach for the middle market and beyond, conducting on-site surveys and providing actionable risk improvement recommendations. You will contribute to thought leadership, training, and market-facing activities while collaborating with regional leaders to shape risk appetite and services. Responsabilidades

Collaborate with LoB engineering teams across Construction, Casualty and Environmental to implement a multi-line risk approach
Provide timely, technically advanced engineering advice to underwriters
Conduct site visits and risk surveys and input into broker reports
Support underwriters with technical input into risk assessments and engineering reviews
Share industry developments and insights with stakeholders and attend industry events
Develop thought leadership with CEMENA Construction leaders and marketing teams
Create and market value-added risk engineering services for Construction clients
Coordinate with COG Construction risk engineers and IP leaders to align strategies
Support training for underwriting teams and partner brokers
Provide technical support for thought leadership initiatives in collaboration with underwriting and marketing
Work to develop mid-market risk appetite and profitable growth in region
Assist with client meetings and broker engagements as needed
Travel across CEMENA with focus on Spain, Portugal and Italy; role based in Madrid, Spain

Requisitos principales

Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in construction of complex projects
Extensive knowledge of construction sectors with a commitment to continuous learning
Clear and confident communicator capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
Ability to work across Property and Casualty exposures for construction business
Qualified engineer, preferably with a degree in Construction or Civil Engineering
Willingness to travel across the CEMENA region and fluent in English and Spanish; Italian and Portuguese a plus
PC literate with knowledge of Office software suite
Strong team player with autonomous working style
Insurance engineering experience beneficial but not essential
Demonstrated ethical standards and client-focused mindset
