As Category Manager Raw Materials, you will lead global sourcing for plastic raw materials and define category strategies that ensure supply, quality, and long-term value. You will report to Corporate Procurement Director and collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sustainability to align sourcing with business needs. This senior role emphasizes strategic partnerships, supplier risk management, and cross-border negotiations. You’ll play a key role in driving innovation, cost efficiency, and resilient supply globally.
Responsabilidades
- Define and implement global category strategies for plastic raw materials
- Lead strategic sourcing: market analysis, RFQ/RFP, benchmarking, negotiations, contract management
- Manage international supplier portfolio and build long-term partnerships
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing frameworks for measurable savings
- Monitor market dynamics and supply risks to mitigate disruptions
- Collaborate with plant buyers, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sustainability to align sourcing
- Support new product development with early supplier involvement
- Drive supplier performance improvements across cost, quality, service, and sustainability
- Develop category intelligence, spend analysis, and procurement reporting tools
- Ensure supplier risk management and business continuity planning
Requisitos principales
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years in strategic procurement or category management in an international industrial setting
- Experience managing significant annual spend and complex supplier portfolios
- Strong background in plastic raw materials, polymers, resins, or related categories
- Experience in chemical, plastics, packaging, or medical device industries preferred
- Proven success in category strategies and complex contract negotiations
- Solid technical understanding of raw materials and manufacturing supply chains
- Experience with international suppliers and multicultural stakeholders
- Fluent English; travel availability
