Experteer Overview
In this role you will support AWS's energy and water initiatives by drafting and negotiating complex agreements with utilities and project partners. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable renewable energy procurement and sustainable initiatives that advance The Climate Pledge. You will provide guidance on regulatory, policy, and contractual matters to enable AWS growth while maintaining compliance. This is a hands-on, high-impact legal role in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
Responsabilidades
- Structure, draft, and negotiate energy, utility, and water-related agreements
- Provide strategic, operational legal advice to support business goals including sustainability projects
- Advise business partners on contracts, disputes, and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve commercial, compliance, security, and vendor requests
- Support day-to-day contract interpretation and process improvements across the team
- Handle pre-litigation issues and inquiries in coordination with Sustainability, Public Policy, and other AWS teams
Requisitos principales
- 2–4 years post-qualification legal experience (PQE) with a focus on energy
- Licensed to practice law in Spain and/or relevant EMEA jurisdiction
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Ability to travel as needed
- Transactional and/or utility experience related to electric or water infrastructure
