In this AI Platform Engineer role, you will help design, build, and operate scalable AI platforms within AstraZeneca's Enterprise AI Platforms and Operations Team. You will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to translate research needs into production-ready tooling and environments. You’ll work across cloud, orchestration, and governance to accelerate ML workflows while ensuring security and compliance. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role in a fast-moving, cross-functional setting that aims to empower breakthroughs in healthcare.

Responsabilidades
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to understand challenges and build supporting platforms
- Contribute to an agile team improving ML development environments, platforms, and tooling
- Coordinate with Cyber Security and Data Privacy to secure the estate without hindering productivity
- Adapt ML methods to modern parallel environments (distributed clusters, multicore, GPU)
- Champion a production-first mindset to scale exploratory research to production
Requisitos principales
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related quantitative field (BSc/MSc/PhD also acceptable); entrepreneurial/consulting background considered
- Demonstrable experience with AWS or similar cloud environment
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
- Administering a production cluster with knowledge of operators, storage classes, service meshes
- Proficient in Python; other programming languages a plus
- Experience deploying infrastructure and tooling for ML/Data Science at scale using Infrastructure as Code
- DevOps automation experience
- Awareness or experience with MLOps practices and automated ML pipelines
- Experience in Agile teams and product/platform-focused delivery
- Experience with internal security standards; pharmaceutical/clinical context familiarity
- Knowledge of GxP life science systems is a plus
