As an Accountant at Centogene Spain, you will support the Finance team by handling daily accounting tasks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to close cycles in a fast-paced, international setting. You will manage VAT filings, document processing, and data accuracy while collaborating with local and international finance colleagues. The role offers impact through process improvements and digitization initiatives that enhance financial record-keeping. You will help maintain robust, compliant accounting operations that underpin business decisions and stakeholder trust.

Responsabilidades

Process general accounting activities including invoice processing, filing, and document management
Prepare and review VAT declarations in line with Spanish regulations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Support account reconciliations and journal entry preparations
Manage vendor and customer accounting-related requests
Maintain organized financial records and archiving processes
Assist with internal and external audits with relevant documentation
Collaborate with Spain and international finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy
Contribute to process improvements and digitization initiatives

Requisitos principales

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or comparable qualification
2 years of accounting experience (Spain preferred)
Knowledge of Spanish VAT and general tax regulations
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365 or equivalent)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
Experience in an international environment is desirable
Reliability, responsibility, and problem-solving mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
