Your responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve our existing web crawling stack (mainly Ruby and JavaScript), ensuring reliable and compliant job-data acquisition.
  • Scope and analyze new data sources to understand what data can be acquired and how to ensure high-quality coverage.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines from acquisition to validation and internal mapping.
  • Progressively automate and orchestrate crawling and data-processing workflows to reduce manual effort and increase scalability and robustness.
  • Implement and refine import mapping and data classification to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Integrate external data sources via APIs or controlled crawling frameworks, ensuring performance and resilience.
  • Monitor pipeline behavior, detect anomalies, and collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to continuously enhance our data infrastructure.

Your Profile

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics, or a related field in Munich.
  • Availability for at least 10 months, working 15-20 hours per week.
  • Programming skills in Ruby and/or Javascript. Some experience or knowledge of object-oriented programming is preferred.
  • Strong interest in web crawling, data extraction, automation, and API integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in an international team.
  • Proactive and independent working style – you are comfortable managing complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent command of English (our working language).
