Our client, a leading Engineering & Technology company, requires a Project Financial Controller, based in Madrid for its international business activities. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Project Managers, you will have the responsibility and authority to drive the financial performance of projects:Provide financial planning and analysis, monthly forecasting and reporting.Ensure robust, timely and accurate forecasts are produced in line with IAS (strong focus on revenue recognition). Tax Management.Develop strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.Understand the forecast, including working capital and cashflow; explaining deviations from previous forecast and the agreed plan.Working Capital and risk Management.Ensure excellent cash management processes are in place and work closely with the treasury team to ensure that funds are used efficiently. Reduce risk and maximize OPBIT and Cash. Review traded margin to ensure that there are no material margin reductions during the life of a project. In addition this role will have some supporting duties pre project award.
